This guide will explain how to write a project report for NMIMS & Other universities. We will also try showing you individual project report examples. However, in this guide, we will show a project report structured example & format you should be carrying while writing for NMIMS.

The report should be well documented and covered by:

1. Executive Summary
2. Organization Profile
3. Outline of the Problem/Task Undertaken
4. Research Methodology and Data Analysis
5. Relevant activity charts, tables, graphs, diagrams, etc.
6. Learning of the student through the Project
7. Contribution to the host organization
8. Reference inappropriate referencing Harvard styles.

Executive Summary: An executive summary is a short version of a report. In this section, we have to summarize the report’s key points. It should be written in such a way that highlights the report’s major points describing the outcomes, conclusion, & recommendation from the report. In addition, an executive summary shall also describe the main problem, overall research methodology and relevant activity you have witnessed, solution you have proposed, etc. In the Executive summary, we should also describe your learning from the project and the advantage to the respective organization. The “executive summary page” summary should be written a minimum of 2 to 3 pages.

Organizational Profile: The Organizational profile is also known as organizational background. The organization profile section should outline complete details like Vision, Mission, Values, etc. The organization profile should cover how it came into a mission, products, services if offers, their working location, areas of business, and several employees. We also cover their competitors, companies’ market share, type of certificate they own such as ISO, and their current achievement in brief details of the organization.
Outline of the problem/task undertaken: You have to define the existing work process to the organization’s relation. It should be clearly defined the overall current work process of the firm. It should be covered under 8 to 10 pages.

Research Methodology: Research methodology is specifically used to measure, select, process, and analyze complete information about a topic. Here you should not give any relevant information on any of the points in your study. Research methodology should only give clear information related to the Title.

Relevant activities: In this section, you should cover statistical information of the organization in which you should talk numerical aspects about the topic.

Learning of the student: In this section, you should write a minimum of 3 to 5 pages because it has great significance in your project.

Contribution to the host organization: This section shall mention the advantages of the projects to the host organization. Here you should write a minimum of 5 to 8 paragraphs.
Reference: In reference, if you are taking from a blog website, you should copy your reference URL and paste it as a model of reference. We suggest giving references to the Harvard style. Harvard referencing style uses reference in two places manly in the text and at the end.
